#1 New Release
I earned a #1 New Release in [Teen & Young Adult Visionary & Metaphysical Fiction] badge because of you, my awesome readers! Also—at the time of writing this email—Orphan’s Price is up to six reviews.
I can’t thank you enough. You’re the best readers I could hope for, and I can’t wait for you to read more of the Chronicles of the Seventh Realm. It’s because of you my readers I’m able to live my dream of being an author.
I’m hard at work writing Sorcerer’s Trial (Book 3 of Ren’s Tale), and so far, my Alpha readers are impressed. I’m introducing two new characters I think you’re going to like, because I think they’re awesome! (Don’t want to give away too much right now.)
Ocean’s Dagger (Book 2) is with my editor, and should be finished and finalized for publication before the 15th. My ARC team will receive their copies of Ocean’s Dagger no later than the 15th, and the official launch date for everyone else is the 19th! I won’t give away the story, but I will say it takes place on a new island.
For those who don’t know, I’m a member of writers’ critique group, which meets weekly. It’s in part because of them Orphan’s Price is so strong. I’m grateful to them for the encouragement to ship Orphan’s Price and move forward with the series.
Going forward I’ll be workshopping an old series I wrote a few years back. It’s complete, but it needs serious work to be ready for publication. I’m aiming for July as the release date. For those of you who’ve been following me since the beginning, you’ll remember it as Aether Walker. I’ll probably keep that name, but nearly everything else will change.
My daily exercise habit has been okay. I’m not making it 100% of days, but I’m above 60%. If this were PE I’d be a D+ student. I’ve found that listening to an action-packed Fantasy helps keep my mind off the discomfort.
What do you use to keep your mind occupied while exercising?
Any advice on how to keep going would be greatly appreciated. About the only thing I have going for me, is I keep a water bottle in my hand, so I’m never dehydrated.
Speaking of Action Fantasy. My friend, and fellow author, Michael DeAngelo released his newest book this month. Heart of the Forest, it’s a more traditional style fantasy than my own, but well worth a read. It’s also free to read if you have a Kindle Unlimited account.
“Kelvin has left his country behind. His mentor, the elf Icarus Callatuil, has prepared him for a journey to Draconis, where old allies will be able to better train him for the hardships he is sure to endure in his life. But when he arrives on those distant shores, he discovers that the elves of Cefen’adiel may need him as much as he needs them.
A darkness arises in the forest in southern Daltain, and Tarenda, queen of the elves, decides that a stranger to the lands such as Kelvin can better serve their purposes as an investigator.
What will Kelvin do when he must trade his training exercises for real dangers?”
